Phase II Report

Those who successfully completed their market research homework after Phase One were invited back to Phase Two held in September, 2006. Typically training started out each night with a devotion centered on "business is mission". The teaching team then worked one on one with each student through translators and in-country ministry support teams to write marketing plans and financial plans for each of the proposed businesses. These Kingdom Business ideas include a hair salon, a security business, a car parts retail store, retail beauty products, a marketing services company, and a copy service company.

Each business has a Kingdom Impact statement such as, "To be a Christian car parts store, being sensible to the market needs of private and commercial transportation, and sharing the Gospel with every new client.”

Phase two was completed in September and now the in-country ministry team led by Fernando Fernando Zúñiga and Perimeter-based trainers are assessing the potential for each Kingdom Business to start based on the marketing and financial plans submitted for review.

Companies who received the green light in January 07 will be eligible for small, (usually no more than $2,000) low-interest loans made available through the ministry.

A third team is scheduled to go back to Guatemala in January, 2007 to teach phase 3 "Managing your Business" and award the funding.
