Senior Pastor Edmundo Guillen at Showers of Grace Church describe the Kingdom Impact so far:

" With the support of BPI and Jholdas we started at Showers of Grace a project to develop micro enterprises in Guatemala.  In the first phase in June of this year BPI´s team shared with 40 people the principles of how to develop a kingdom company.  Then, the participants were required to do a market research to qualify to the next phase that took place in august.   10 participants qualified to the second phase where we helped them write their business plans.

We are in the process of reviewing the plans, raising the funds and recruiting local coaches to help these entrepreneurs launch their businesses.  We would like to thank Perimeter Church for the support on making a difference in the lives of these entrepreneurs, in their families, and in our church.

Doris lost hope at age eight when her father was murdered. After her mother remarried, Doris soon learned that her new father was a molester. Fending off her father’s attempted rape, she decided to leave home.
Doris became pregnant when she was sixteen. Then suffered through two marriages in which husbands beat her and failed to honor the exclusivity of marriage.

With no reason to live and unable to care for her three children, she decided to commit suicide by sleeping pill overdose. While trying to end her life, she heard the story of salvation being told through the thin walls of her room.

When she investigated, she found a preacher offering a man redemption. The non-believer was not interested but Doris was. She told the preacher to take her to his church. There Doris accepted Jesus as her savior.

Today, through god’s grace, Doris is saved and is starting up her own Kingdom company through the Micro Enterprise program sponsored by Showers of Grace Church in Guatemala and Perimeter. “I am going to build a beauty salon catering to the beautification of my client’s soul and body”

Doris states passionately “God is my husband, my protector and my friend”.

Please pray that God will continue to bless and heal Doris. Pray that her new business reaches, encourages and shares the love of Jesus with the many battered women of Guatemala.
